Hora ~ podela na dva dela, prvom polovinom {prvih 15° znaka} neparnih znakova vlada , a drugom polovinom , dok kod parnih znakova je obrnuto. Ovakav čart se koristi da se otkrije narav natusa, njegova snaga, energija, akcija, mentalni i emotivni kapacitet, a takodje s obzirom da se vezuje za simboliku 2 polja, ima veze i sa  materijalnim pitanjima tj. svim onim što spada pod simboliku 2 polja. Pokazuje uskladjenost Yin i Yang, muškog i ženskog u natusu, aktivnost i pasivnost, individualnost i druđtvenost. Naglašenost čevog dela obično daje (pre)jake ličnosti koje su sklone da budu ili s jedne strane  (pre)ambiciozne ili pak da budu (pre)oštre i najviše bezosećajne i manipulatorski nastrojene. S druge strane, naglašen Mesečev deo uvek ukazuje na suprotno, da je natus preslab, neambiciozan, preemotivan, povlačenje u sebe i zavisnost (od svega i svakoga) Najbolje je naravno da postoji kakva takva ravnoteža izmedju ove dve podele.

Drekana ~ podela na tri, tj. na dekade od po 10°. Prvih 10° pripada samom znaku, drugih 10° pripada drugom znaku istog kvaliteta, a trećem delu 10° pripada trećem znaku istog kvaliteta {primer : prvih 10° Ovna pripada Ovnu, drugih 10° pripada Lavu, a trećih 10° pripada Strelcu} Ovakav čart se vezuje za simboliku 3 polja, znači braća / sestre, energija za rad, hrabrost, strasti koje se unose u sve akcije, a takodje može da ukaže na nezgode i nesreće, pa čak i samu smrt. Najčešće se ovaj tip čarta koristi prilikom retrifikacije vremena rodjenja.

Čaturtamš ~ podela na 4 dela tj. na 07°30’. Ovo je podela po kvalitetu ~ promenljiv, fixni, kardinalan. Tj. prva četvrtina znaka Ovna pripada Ovnu, druga četvrtina pripada Raku, treća četvrtina pripada Vagi i četvrta četvrtina pripada Jarcu. Naravno, simbolika i smisao ovog čarta je da nam pokaže najskrivenije u natusu, njegovu ukorenjenu Veru i želju za (ne)održavanjem tradicije i porodičnih vrednosti. Pokazuje koliko natus (ne)želi da bude srećan i zadovoljan, tj. pokazuje nivo svesti natusa ~ koliko je zadovoljan trenutnim što ima u životu i da li ima potrebu da to što ima sačuva i uveća ili ne.

Saptamš ~ je podela na 7 jednakih delova od po 4°17’ 09’’ i bazira se na podeli Kal Paruše. Naravno, ovaj čart je u korelaciji sa simbolikom 5 polja ~ deca, zabava, zavodjenje, osvajanje, udvaranje, inteligencija, tj. emotivni IQ (koliko je osoba spremna i sposobna da voli i da daje ljubav, pažnju, poklone) kao i bilo koji oblik stvaralaštva. Takodje pokazuje nivo stvaralačke inteligencije natusa, sposobnost davanja saveta, kako se osoba ponaša u društvu, uspeh u životu kao javna ličnost ili učitelj, jer se ovaj čart vezuje i za znanje i obrazovanje koje će natus steći u životu i način na koji će to znanje primenjivati (i čak unovčiti) Takodje pokazuje i koje su Mantre pogodne za natusa ako on želi da se bavi duhovnim putem.

Navamš ~ podela na 9 delova od 3°20’.

             Ovo pored Rasi je NAJBITNIJI čart kod indusa, jer nam pokazuje UNUTRAŠNJE SKLONOSTI I SAMU SUDBINU OSOBE kao rezultat Raši čarta. Navamša čart odgovara simbolici 9 polja tj SUDBINE ili Dharme dok je Raši čista Karma ~ pa na primer kada se vidi da je Navamša čart mnogo jači od čarta to nam pokazuje da je natus odabrao težak životni put jer je duhovno puno napredovao i kroz težak život želi još više da pročisti sebe za sledeću inkarnaciju. U suprotnom, naravno važi suprotno značenje, slab Navamša čart ukazuje na slabu ili nepostojeću duhovnost natusa, pa je on odabrao lagan način života jer ne želi duhovno da napreduje. Kada su oba čarta dobra, to nam direktno ukazuje na izvanredni kavalitet natusa, da je osoba poštena, dobra i nadasve jako duhovna, dok naravno suprotno, ako su oba čarta loša, ukazuje nam na osobu niskog morala, lenju i lošu.Često se prvo posmatra i analizira Navamša Čart pa tek onda Rasi Čart jer Indusi veruju da je Navamša čart osnova od koje duša natusa kreće u ovom svom životu, a da je Rasi Čart rezultat tog „putovanja duše“.

Dašamš ~ podela na 10 jednakih delova od po 3°. Naravno, povezuje se sa simbolikom 10 polja i govori nam o zanimanju natusa, položaju u društvu, moći i ugledu. A takodje, Dašamš govori i o karmičkom utisku koji natus ostavlja na okolinu ~ način na koji ga okolina doživljava i ponaša se prema njemu (pa samim tim i vrlo bitan čart jer ukazuje način na koji će osoba se ponašati prema okolini i tako odraditi svoje karmičke dugove) U neku ruku ovaj čart treba posmatrati i kao sliku karmičkog utiska koji natus ostavlja na druge ~ tj. na koji način okolina doživljava natusa prilikom njegovih dobrih i loših odradjivanja Karme.

Dvadašamš ~ ili Duada (na zapadu češće korišćen termin) podela je na 12 delova od po 2°30’ i povezuje se naravno sa simbolikom 12 polja, a često se uzima kao i čart iz prošlog života da bi se otkrilo koliko je natus (ne)napredovao i šta mu je ostalo kao dug iz prošlog života. Govori o sudbini i karmi koju natus nosi iz prošlog života i uporedjivanjem sa Raši Kundali Čartom kao i naravno Navamsha Kundali Čartom može da se dodje do informacija koju karmu i sudbinu će natus lakše, a koju teže, da ispuni u ovom životu. Takodje, kao i svaki karmički čart, pokazuje koliko je natus svestan svoje karme i sudbine, koliko (ne)dopušta da se nešto menja u njegovom životu. Takodje, u klasičnom smislu, pokazuje pretke natusa, njegov stav prema istoriji i korenima svoje porodice i da li poštuje tradiciju svojih predaka.

Šodašamš ~ podela na 16 delova, tj. 01°52’ 30’’. Ovaj čart se nadopunjuje na simboliku 4 polja (4 x 4) i važan je u proceni psihološkog dela natusa (kao posledica porodičnog vaspitanja i situacije u domu) a takodje se vezuje za (ne)postojanje emotivne i mentalne stabilnosti i (ne)zadovoljenja životom. Takodje, ukazuje zajedno sa simbolikom 4 polja i mentalnu stabilnost natusa.

Vimšamš ~ ovo je podela na 20 jednakih delova od po 1°30’. Ovaj čart se vezuje za simboliku 5 polja, tj u simbiozi sa 5 poljem dobijamo jasniju sliku o natusovom stavu prema deci, potrebi da bude srećan, radostan, kreativan, da daje i prima ljubav. Takodje pokazuje i kosmički uticaj na natusa, tj. koliko je jaka karma i koliko Kosmičke Sile (ne)deluju na natusa i koliko ih on (ne)primećuje i (ne)primenjuje u svom životu. Usko povezivanje sa 5 poljem je isključivo na duhovnom nivou (nema veze sa decom) i pokazuje psihološki smisao radosti, ljubavi i stvaralaštva koju natus ima u sebi.

Sidhamšamš ~ podela na 24 dela od po 1°15’. Sidhi u prevodu na naš jezik označava „psihičke moći“ ~ u ovom čartu možemo videti da li natus ima neke moći ili ne i ako ih ima, na koji način ih koristi. Naravno, u klasičnom smislu, Sidhamšamš se vezuje za obrazovanje i učenje. Ovaj čart dopunjuje Vimšamš Čart, jer se ovaj čart vezuje za dopunjavanje znanja i dodatnog obrazovanja. Ovaj čart se često naziva i Chaturtamsh Čart.

Bhamš ~ podela na 27 delova od po 1°06’ 40’’. Podela od 27 odgovara Nakshatra podeli (27 Nakšatri, tj 27 sazveždja) a iako se retko kad koristi ovaj čart, on nam bolje pokazuje na koji način natus (ne)koristi svoj u svom životu. Ovaj čart pokazuje koliko je izražen () u natusovom životu, samim tim nam ovaj čart pokazuje na koliko je lako / teško uticati na natusa, koliko je povodljiv i povučen, kakve su njegove emocije, šta je ono što je skriveno u njemu (jer sam se vezuje za 4 polje koje je na „dnu“ celog čarta, pa samim tim pokazuje ono što je „daleko od očiju javnosti“.

Trimšamš ~ malo neobična podela : za NEPARNE ZNAKE : prvih 5° se dodeljuje Ovnu, sledećih 5° se dodeljuje Lavu, trećih 8° Strelcu, sledećih 7° Blizancima i poslednjih 5° se dodeljuju Vagi. Za PARNE ZNAKE : prvih 5° se dodeljuje Biku, sledećih 7° Devici, sledećih 8° Ribama, sledećih 5° se dodeljuje Jarcu i poslednjih 5° se dodeljuje Škorpionu. i ne ulaze u ovu podelu. Ovaj čart ukazuje opasnosti, nesreće, neprijatelje, povrede i potencijalne bolesti koje prete natusu, tj. sve ono što bi trebalo izbegavati u životu. Planete koje su loše u Rasi Kundaliju i koje ako smestimo u Trišamš Kundali se pokažu još slabije / lošije, zagarantovano će doneti nesreću natusu.

Khavedamš ~ podela na 40 jednakih delova tj. na 45’. Takodje, ovaj čart zovu i Swawedasamsh Kundali Chart. Ovaj čart se u kombinaciji sa samom simbolikom značenjem graha koristi da bi se dobila još jasnija slika njih samih. Često se ovaj čart koristi u tumačenju 4 polja Rasi čarta.

Akšavedamš ~ podela na 45 delova, tj. na 40’. Ovo je uopšteni čart i dodatno objašnjava značenje raši Kundali čarta. Iz njega se dodatno dobija procena koliko je natus moralan, etičan i pošten. Kakva mu je narav i temperament. Retko kada se zaista koristi ovaj čart, jer je potrebno vrlo precizno vreme rodjenja da bi postavka Lagni Rasi planeta i polja se uklopila sa planetama i poljima Akšavedamš Kundali Čartom. Mnogi astrolozi ga i ne koriste, ali dobro dodje u suptilnijem analiziranju Raši Kundalia (samo pod uslovom da je vreme rodjenja zaista tačno)

Šaštiamš ~ ovo je podela na 60 delova, tj. podela na 30’. Ovaj čart takodje je uopštenog tipa i koristi se prilikom analize Raši kundalija. Isto tako, često se koristi u analizi čartova blizanaca, jer može mnogo detaljnije da ukaže na razlike koje postoje kod tih ljudi, ma koliko oni na prvi pogled biti jednaki (jer je vrlo čest slučaj da blizanci uopšte nemaju ista dešavanja u svom životu ~ u zapadnoj astrologiji, pokušaj analize čarta blizanaca je u pokušaju da se kroz natalno 11 polje ~ stariji blizanac i 3 polje ~ mladji blizanac, pronadju te bitne razlike u njihovim životima (dok se sam natal koristi kao osnova) U Djotišu se jednostavno odradi Šaštiamš čart i dobija se dodatni čart koji će ukazati kroz simboliku 3 i 11 polja kakav će zaista život biti tih blizanaca.

Divisional charts based on divisions between 1 and 12 operate in the physical plane. They show physical matters. Body, wealth, residence, wife, children, parents – these are all matters relating to the physical self.

Divisional charts based on divisions between 13 and 24 (i.e. D-16, D-20 and D-24) operate in the mental plane. They show matters that exist at the mental plane. Sense of pleasure and unhappiness, religiousness, learning and knowledge – these are all matters relating to the mind and intellect.

Divisional charts based on divisions between 25 and 36 (i.e. D-27 and D-30) operate in the plane of sub-consciousness. One’s strengths, weaknesses, inherent nature, evils, certain psychological imbalances – these are all matters relating to the sub-conscious self.

Based on the karma from previous lives, we all have an existence at a level that goes beyond the levels of body, mind and sub-consciousness. Existence at that level has a considerable role in deciding the pattern of one’s life, along with existence at the physical, mental and sub-conscious levels. Only few know about this, this is indeed the rarest concept of Vedic astrology. No astrological text had ever disclosed this.

Yes we have all read that 5th house represents future birth, some say that 8th house has some clue, some say without 12th house ,this judgment cannot be made and other go to judge these houses in navamsa. Few regard, 5th house of dwadasamsa chart (D-12) as the clue for this.

If you have gone through above articles, you would agree that, There is not a single number which has more relevance than 108.

In our Vedic astrology too, Chart D-108 is not an ordinary one. It varies every minute and only after the rectification of D-60, it can be fixed.

Let me tell you FOR UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE!

Life begins at dwadasamsa chart (D12) (first trikond), so it is analogous to our lagan chart.

12* 5= 60 (2nd trikond)

So D60 relates to our past birth karmas (or past birth chart)

12*9 = 108 (3rd trikond)

So D108 definitely relates to our future birth.

The above concept should be taken for understanding purpose, not for calculation purpose.

In most of our ancient text, D-108 is regarded as the last chart.

Horoscope reading oscillates between these three trikond charts.

D12—-D60—-D108 and as, I said Lagan chart is analogous to our dwadasamsa chart and navamsa is a supporting strength for both lagan and dwadasamsa charts.

Now I would be explaining all the aspects of D-108 chart.

Lagan, 2nd, 3rd and 4th houses of D-108, gives information about our past life, next four houses gives information about our present life and last four about next life in particular.

Hence 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses of D-108 are of utmost importance as they are the houses of next birth in our Next birth chart or they are pure reflection of our next birth, without any mix up, before going ahead Note that Increase / decrease in the strength of each planet from shatyamsa (D-60) chart to D-108 chart can be used as a mirror, to see nature of our karmas in this life.

We can easily make out, in which aspect of life, we are going wrong.

If somebody is having uchh mercury in 7th house of shatyamsa and swarashi in 8th house there!

In D-108 chart if the native is having mars in 7th house in kanya and neech sun in 8th, It gives very clear picture that the native has got very nice wife in this life but due to his bad karmas in context of wife he has spoiled the vitality of his 7th house which is reflected in D-108 house, with the placement of mars in 7th house in kanya in D-108 and deliberated sun in 8th house.

12th house of D-108 is the will give you the final decision as that will the native receive “moksha” or not.

Few conditions;

1) If Atmakaraka is placed in 12th house of D-108 chart (in strength) with sun. (Atmakaraka should be in strength, swarashi, uchh or Mooltrikona)

Moksha is due in this life.

2) If 12th lord is placed in 12th house of D-108 chart with Atmakaraka in strength (there should be no other aspect) and sun is in its swa or uchh rashi.

Moksha is due in this life.

3) If all the planets are present in their own or uchh rashi’s, moksha is due.

4) If suppose 4 planets are exalted or swarashi in D-108 chart.

Then 3 births are still left for native to experience similarly if only 2 planets are not exalted or swarashi, 2 births are still due. If 12th lord is placed in lagan of D-108 chart, One birth is still left for the native to experience, if placed in 2nd house, 2 births are left similarly in this manner if placed in 11th house, 12 births are still left to experience.

Planet aspecting or present in lagan or 7th house of D-108 chart, Will give information regarding the qualities of the native that dominated him in this life Or about the qualities which were most visible to the external world in this life and the strength of that planet will determine that, how well he has carried those qualities in this life ( If the native has misused those very qualities, then strength of that planet will show a decrease as compared to shatyamsa chart). 2nd and 4th houses of D-108, will give a very clear indication about the family, we would be getting in the next birth.

Presence of mercury, , and moon in 2nd house (in strength), Presence of , , moon in 4th house (in strength) will clearly indicate the royal next birth.

Exalted planets will also show the same thing.

Number of planets placed in 11th house of D-108 chart will account for number of births left for the native.

2 planets— 2 births

3 planets— 3 births.

Here i want to clarify that actual count of number of births would be obtained only after the application of all the conditions (which I am describing in different posts).

We all know that 3 gund dominate us namely tamsik gund, rajsik gund, satvic gund. Placement of dual rashi’s in the Kendra of D-108 chart will represent the dominance of satvic gund in our next life. Similarly, chara rashi means tamsik gund & Sthira rashi gives rajsik gund.

After applying, above mentioned condition, also check the strength of the corresponding planets.

and sun for satvic gund, , mercury for rajsik gund and , mars, , ketu for tamsik gund.

Or you can say if satvic planets are weak and Kendra has dual rashi’s then satvic gund will not dominate.

On the strength of sun, moon, and lagan and satvic rashi’s (satvic gund) and weakness of rajsik and tamsik gund, we can decide that whether person will go to “uchh loks” after death or will again take birth on earth.

“Remember there is a difference between getting moksha and going to uchh loks”

After getting moksha, soul goes to “Param dham, vaikunth lok”, uchh loks Can be dev lok, Brahma lok etc.

If atma karak is getting exalted in D-108 chart and lagan is having, very strong shubh mala yog (like placement of uchh planets in 2nd, 12th and lagan) and also sun and moon have good strength, then the soul would most definitely go to uchh loks (in next life).

Influence of sun, , , ketu and moon (in strength) on 9th house of D-108 clearly shows that native would follow spiritualism in his next life.

Nature of Lord of 6th house in D-108 will show the nature of kind of enemies you will face in your next life and its placement in D-108 will show, that on what cost you will defeat him or you loose to him.

For example if the lord of 6th house is mercury- enemies in your next life would be intelligent and would be an expert in planning as - shows ,they would use their muscle power, - shows ,they would be very knowledgeable and calm. Similarly nature can be determined.

Now if suppose 6th lord in D-108 is placed in 2nd house.

It would give an indication that your family member is involved in the conspiracy and his aim would be your family or money and to defeat him, your speech and money power would prove beneficial in the next life.

(Paap prabhav on this 6th lord would mean your defeat)

If suppose 6th lord is place in 5th house, It would mean that enemy will have a direct impact on your mind.

He can ruin your mental peace and progress of your kids in next life and to defeat him, your intelligence would prove beneficial.

Similarly results can derived!

Placement of uchh or swarashi planets (should include Atmakaraka) in the 4th, 8th and 12th houses of D-108 chart is a clear indication of liberation from birth death cycle after this life.

Note that no planet should be in deliberation in D-108 for the fulfillment of the above condition also the 3 planets in 4th, 8th and 12th houses should not enter in a planetary war.

Nature and strength of the 10th lord of D-108 chart indicates the nature and strength of karmas we are doing or going to do, in this life.

Placement of the 10th lord in D-108 will signify the qualities or parameters involved in carrying out those karmas. For example If 10th lord is sitting in the 7th house, It would mean that karmas have an attribute of business, foreign travel, reputation building, Involvement of females etc.

If 10th lord is sitting in 2nd house, It would mean that karmas are linked with money (w.r.t qualities of that planet), family, speech (public speaking etc), teaching etc.

exalted in 6th house, moon exalted in 8th house and in 7th house.

Or

exalted in 6th house, mercury exalted in 8th house and moon in 7th house.

Or

exalted in 6th house, exalted in 8th house and venus in 7th house.

11th house of D-108 will account for net result of all the accumulated desires in all the previous births.

For example; Presence of uchh ketu in 11th house will show that all the desires of native all fulfilled and therefore will become one of the indications for final “moksha”

Presence of uchh in 11th house will show that, path of meditation on which native was walking in his past births is still left unexplored, which would take one more birth to be explored completely.

Uchh in 11th— would mean native has acquired all the knowledge in his past lives, and will enter in a phase of meditation in next life.

Uchh venus in 11th— It would mean that all the worldly desires for the native are fulfilled, and will now start acquiring supreme knowledge in his next life.

Similarly results for other planets could be derived, ABOVE results are applicable only when there is no malefic influence on the said planets.

Any relation between trikond lords and 11th lord in D108 chart would most definitely mean that native is not following spiritualism in this life and he is moving away from satva gund.

Similarly relation of trikond lord with 12th lord would mean that native is on the path of spiritualism in this life.

Above results are conclusive only when the involved planets are free of malefic influences

Strong relations between 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th lords in D-108 chart is a clear indication that native would lead a very luxurious life in his next birth without following the path of dharma.

Strong relations between 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 12th lords in D-108 chart is similarly a clear indication that native would be devoted to the path of dharma in his next life.

If the D-108 chart have uchh or swarashi planets in 1st, 2nd, 12th, 5th, 9th houses with no malefic influence

on 4th ,6th,8th and 10th houses then native will acquire a seat of Indra in his next life and would mean that Lord Indra has taken incarnation on earth due to some curse.

If all the planets are present in the 12th house of D-108 chart, It would most definitely assure him, next life in vaikunth lok (Lok of lord Vishnu).

If all the planets are placed in 3rd, 7th and 11th house of D-108 chart, with and mars conjuncting each other. It would mean that Native will earn money through prostitution in his next life.

Facts on D-108 may look less relevant and may appear to have a tenuous basis but the case is just reverse.

Lagan and navamsa charts can tell you nothing concrete about these most important aspects of astrology.

Hence D-108 is the most important chart- to see the progress of our soul.

You can derive the conditions of moksha from 2 ways

1) D-60, D-108

2) Death chart.

Both will give the same result and both can be independently analyzed

Whatever rules I have listed in this thread have to be applied simultaneously.

For example; let me first list all rules concerning calculating number of future births, once again.

1) Number of births left as per the placement of 12th lord.

2) Number of birth left as per the, Number of planets who have not gained “swarashi, and exaltation strength”

3) Number of birth as per the No. of planets placed in 11th house.

See whether rule no. 3 is applicable or not (like if the 11th house is empty apply the first rule)

Find out the number out of the rule no. 1 or 3(which ever applicable)

Then add the Number derived from rule no. 2, you will get the no. of births left.

If rule 3 is applicable then add that no. also to the final number.

POINTS TO BE NOTED or exceptions;

1) All the rules which I have mentioned for giving MOKSHA preside over above three rules.

2) If a planet is getting swarashi or uchh in 11th house, DO NOT the count that planet for deriving no. of births left.

I don’t know whether I have mentioned this earlier or not.

Atmakaraka, sun and moon are very important planets in D-108, If all three are either swarashi or exalted and If any one out of these 3 gets exalted in 12th house of D-108 with no malefic influence, then it confirms Moksha

Further any paap prabhav on a grah further adds to the number of births equivalent to its Maximum rays.

= 30, = 6, = 10, = 16, = 8, = 12 & = 1

Here point to note is, any planet could prove malefic as per its placement and conjunction in D-108 chart.

like if exalted venus is aspecting placed in Virgo with its neech aspect then no. of births from would become 3(6-7,7-8,8-9)+12(contributed by venus rays)

Also remember that if a planet is exalted or swarashi then the added births due to planetary rays SHOULD NOT be taken into account.

Like if the same in pieces aspects exalted mercury in Virgo then there would be no added births from venus rays.

Divisional Chart I: Trimsamsa
INTRODUCTION
Trimsamsa chart is used to delineate various kinds of evils one is likely to face. The key signification of the divisional charts can be known by finding out the root of the divisional chart, by expunging the multiple of 12. Trimsamsa means 30th division and by expunging the multiple of 12, we arrive at 6 (30-12*2 ), which is the house of diseases, servants/ service, enemies and ltigation (troubles we face in this world due to external circumstances). Different harmonics of divisional charts are concerned with different level of consciousness within which the effect it shown.

Physical- Primary (D-1 to D-12)
Conscious- Secondary/ First harmonic (D-13 to D-24)

This makes this division very crucial to be examined as we are all in the path of spiritual evolution and breaking the shakles of material weaknesses can enable us to cross the boundaries of human beings.

Though in male nativity it is very significant, in a female nativity, it is more as they are bearer of the moral thread in this material existence and hence this divisional chart is extensively used for finding out her moral character.

Though there are various trimsamsas, the current topic of discussion is "the Parashari Trimsasa" This chart is used to know about diseases which is borne out of our inherent weaknesses or the shad-ripus. The shadripus are broadly signified by , the Karaka of sixth house for diseases. The six sources of weakness can be attributed to affliction to one of the pancha tattvas (five primordial elements ) and thus shall show the kind of diseases one would suffer with. Because our exisitance is due to the intermingling of the five tattvas which govern various part of our being and this divisional chart is based on the principles of tattvas, it shows kind of character one has and also the time of manifestation of such character.

The six shadripus are governed by 6 planets of the 9 planets. The lumineries are left out as they are the sources of light and remover of all weaknesses. Along with the Lumineries, is also left out as it represents the divinity in a horoscope and hence cannot be the source of any weaknesses. Its the blessings of , the ruler of Akasha Tattva (Ethery Element), that we can be free from the weaknesses, as it represents the wish of the divine consiousness. These three planets also have one thing in common, they are of Sattva guna, which is the purest form of divine matifestation and cannot be attributed to any weaknesses. The planets governing the six weaknesses are given below:
1. - Anger ( Krodha )
2. - Jealousy (Matsarya)
3. - Lust (Kama)
4. - Intoxication (Mada)
5. - Greed ( Lobha)
6. - Illusion ( Moha )

METHOD OF CALCULATION
Parashara in BPHS, chapter 6 gives the method of calculation of the Trimsamsa in the following slokas:

Meaning: The Trimsamsa Lords for an odd Rasi are , , , and . Each of them in order rules 5, 5, 8, 7 and 5 degrees. The deities, ruling over the Trimsamsas are Agni, Vayu, Indra, Kuber and Varuna respectively. In the case of Even Rasi the quantum of Trimsamsas, Grah lordship and deities get reversed.

Thus for ODD signs, the trimsamsa can be found by placing the planets in ODD signs, in the signs ruled by the planets in the following order
1. - 0 to 5 deg - Aries
2. - 5 to 10 deg- Aquarius
3. - 10 to 18 deg- Sagittarius
4. - 18 to 25 deg- Gemini
5. - 25 to 30 deg- Libra

For example, if a planet is placed in 3deg 10min in Leo. We note the sign which is an ODD sign and the degree which happens to be 4th degree. So the trimsamsa of this planet would be 's (4th deg) ODD sign (because the planet is placed in ODD rasi in D-1 chart), which is Aries Trimsamsa.

However, for Even Trimsamsa, the sequence is reversed, i.e., the 1st Trimsamsa of an even sign would fall in Venusian sign and the last one would fall in Martian sign. The sequence of rulership of Trimsamsa is given below:
1. - 25 to 30 deg- Taurua
2. - 18 to 25 deg- Virgo
3. - 10 to 18 deg- Sagittarius
4. - 5 to 10 deg- Capricorn
5. - 0 to 5 deg - Scorpio


INTERPRETATION
1. Troubles due to enemity among tattvas:
We must know that the Agni - Jala and Prthvi - Vayu are the set of antagonistic tattvas and they have difficulty in co-existence. Whenever there is any association of these pairs of antagonistic tattvas, troubles manifest in different forms. For example:

1.1. If Rasi chart is in Agni Tatwa and Trimsamsa shows Jala Tatwa (opposite of Agni Tatwa) or vice- versa , there is sure to be plenty of problems.

1.2. Dasa / AD lord which are mutually hostile by owning opposite Tatwas create many serious problems. Such as Sat Dasa- Ven AD or vice versa. Similarly Merc Dasa- AD or vice versa are also troublesome.

1.3. When Trimsamsa shows contradictory influences on any pair, bad results are likely to follow.

2. Planets and Tattvas
As per the Brhat Parashari Hora Shastra, he five tattvas are governed by five planets from to . The lumineries and the nodes are left out as they do not have any rulership in the parashari trimsamsa. More than that , and the nodes represent the cycle of birth and death (i.e., the "purpose") whereas, other planets show the "process" of creation and destruction-

3. Tattvas and Deities
Each tattva has a guiding deity, whom one must worship to get over the weaknesses related to that particular tattva. They are as follows:

Akasha- Narayana

3. The Four Trikonas (Trines)
The 12 signs in the zodiac are divided into four sets of three each. These four sets have strong correlation with four tattvas (which repeat with each set) and the four goals of human existence namely, Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. Lets study the interelationships which is as follows:

3.1. Agni Trikona- Houses and Signs (1,5,9)- Dharma Ayana
3.2. Prthvi Trikona- Houses and Signs (2,6,10)- Artha Ayana
3.3. Vayu Trikona- Houses and Signs (3,7,11)- Kama Ayana
3.4. Jala Trikona- Houses and Signs (48,12)- Moksha Ayana

Akasha Tattva (Ethery Element) binds all the tattvas together and represents the guiding force or supreme consiousness, which form the stratum where the play of the different tattvas take place.

4. Special Houses in Trimsamsa:
4th house: House of Cure
12th house: Hospitals or the place of cure


5. While 6th house is the house of enemies, the 8th house is the house of debt and hence the trimsamsa chart shows Shadripu that aperson acquires in his life and the 8th house represent the congenital weaknesses one is born with as debt of past life karma.

6. Prasna Marga says that diseases can be of two types, Nija, arising out of inherent weaknesses (congenital weakness of some body part, such as liver- diabetes, lungs- asthma, heart- blood pressure) and Agantuk, which comes from external sources such as the pathogens like, bacterias and viruses (also known as Pathogenic diseases).

7. Each of these has two sub- categories. Nija disease can affect either the body (8H) or mind (8H & 5H). Agantuka can be of two types -- Drishta (known causes- 6H ) and Adrishta (unknown causes , Badhak and Badhakesh). In trimasamsa we deal with the weakness of body, mind and the soul (weakness inherited from past births)

8. If one is conscious of forces at work in Trimsamsa, one would not have any weakness at all. This is the best remedy of any weaknesses. So be aware of thy weaknesses.

9. of any chart shows the native himself. Trimsamsa shows his weaknesses. It shows what has been defined as Avishnu (i.e not Vishnu or against Vishnu ). In this it is opposite of what is shown by a Drekkana chart, the chart of strengths (governed by the Maharishis). The sources of weaknesses (and related troubles) can be seen from the three houses which control the longevity, i.e., , Eighth and Tenth. Whereby the strength of the lords of these three houses give the clue to the longevity of the house under consideration, affliction to these houses by natural malefics or Kayesha (6th lord of Rasi Chart), shows troubles in the area governed by them. The significance of each of these houses are given below:

: Planets in will show weaknesses acquired during current birth directly related to bodily weaknesses. If any of Shadripu coming from any planet is in , this is a weakness that has developed in this birth due to inherent weakness of Trimsamsa itself ( which means intelligence, learning etc.). In addition to planets in , LL of this chart will indicate the Tatwa that has become strong or weak . Lord of Trimsamsa chart shows the exact nature of disease.

10th House: Planets (Malefics) afflicting the 10th house denoting Shadripu shows mental weaknesses where weaknesses develop due to various pressures which the mind fails to counter.

8th House: Planets afflicting eighth house shows weaknesses inherited from past incarnation as this is the house of debt, which binds us to the karma in past birth.

10. The house arrived at by counting the Trimsamsa from the Janma is a very crucial house and shows the the area of life the person shall be troubled due to the weaknesses.

TIMING THE WEAKNESSES
Naisargika Dasa ( natural period ) is a wonderful tool in finding out negative experiences one is likely to go through in this life.

: 2 to 5
: 5 to 12
: 13 to 32
: 33 to 50
: beyond 50

Any afflictions to these planets will show negative experiences in the corresponding age group. In particular curses on these planets should be checked in Trimsamsa.

REMEDIES
1. A remedy can be suggested based on Trimsamsa . Based on the following planets lording the lagna, the remedies can be suggested as per the list given below:

- Pranayama.
- Meditation.
- Light a lamp.
- Puja or Daan.
- Mantra Japa.

In this context Mantra Mahodadhi opines that one who worships Panchadevata everyday (as per table above) shall have a smooth life and shall always be protected irrespective of evils, because all Trimsamsas are covered by this worship. In Panchopachara Puja, the five tattvas can be propitiated by using the materials signified by them as per the followin table:

Agni- Deepa - Lighting a lamp
Prthvi- Gandha- Perfume
Vayu- Dhoopa- Incense stick
Jala- Naivaidya- Food
Akasha- Pushpa/ Mantra- Flower/ Mantra
